Tanzanian superstar Diamond Platnumz was hospitalized over the weekend after falling ill with a severe cold.

In a statement on Instagram, the “African Beauty” crooner said that he woke up on Saturday with a high fever and had to be hospitalized.

Platnumz was scheduled to perform at the Wasafi Festival in Arusha on Saturday evening. However, he was able to perform after receiving medical attention.

The singer’s illness has sparked concern among his fans. However, he has assured them that he is on the mend and will continue to perform.
