Days after his wedding, Nick Odhiambo reveals why explicit texts have reappeared1
A radio presenter from Hot 96 has addressed the recent social media buzz surrounding a screenshot of a previous text exchange. Odhiambo, who recently tied the knot, clarified that the screenshot was from an old group chat meant as a jest. He explained that the circulated image led to a flood of calls to his phone, prompting him to set the record straight. “So, are you suggesting that a man can’t enjoy a happy marriage for more than 24 hours? Who has caused you this pain? That viral picture is from a decade ago, and it’s a cropped screenshot. I was puzzled by the incessant calls to my phone all day today,” he remarked on his social media page on Monday.
Mumesema mwanaume hawezi kaa happily married for more than 24hrs? Who hurt you.. That trending pic is from 10years ago. And a cropped screenshot. i was wondering why people are calling my No. and hanging up all day today #married https://t.co/NhRkynHXzx

Additionally, he shared a link to an article from Kenyans.co.ke dated August 2018, which debunked the screenshots as a fabrication. The article refuted the claims that Nick Odhiambo, who was then a presenter on Classic 105 FM, had caught his partner cheating. Initially, Nick’s reaction to an explicit photo shared in the group chat by someone named ‘Byron’ had fueled the rumors. When Byron posted the image, Odhiambo responded, “Byron, where did you get this pic… that’s my wife.” However, subsequent texts clarified the misunderstanding.
