In a recent YouTube interview, Kennar was asked to name someone who had significantly influenced his career. Without hesitation, he acknowledged Bien.

“I have to give a big shout-out to Bien. He was the first artist to feature in my video and did so with so much humility. He even gave me a chance to perform on the Sauti Sol stage and was the first artist to show up for my show. He believed in me when I wasn’t well-known. Back then, things barely made sense, but he still supported me—Bien is that person,” Kennar said.

Bien has also spoken about artists who inspire him. In a previous interview with Dr. Ofweneke, he hailed Stivo Simple Boy as a cultural icon, drawing inspiration from his resilience.

“As a songwriter, I channeled his energy when creating *Inauma*. I don’t just look at his music; I admire the spirit he represents—a determination to persevere and achieve goals despite the odds. People often try to bring you down, but Stivo is a doer. It’s tough to be a Simple Boy in this industry,” Bien shared.

Despite his admiration, Bien revealed he hasn’t yet collaborated with Stivo Simple Boy.

“The reason we haven’t worked together is that we haven’t met. I make music I genuinely love, and I would never charge for a collaboration,” Bien added.
