Kenya is undeniably a hub of creatives and exceptional talents, having produced some of the best comedians, entrepreneurs, film stars, sports champions and media personalities, just to mention a few.

We talk of the likes of Eric Omondi, Victor Wanyama, Lupita Nyong’o, Larry Madowo…I mean, the list is endless.

Well now, the list of 100 most influential young Africans is out and Kenya has once again managed to bag several positions clinched by different personalities.

This time however, it is not business as usual. With some creatives having had to give way to upcoming, young, promising talents who have proven their mark in the diverse industry.

Personalities who earned their place on the coveted list

Betty Kyallo maintains her place, coming in as an On Air Personality listed among the 2020 100 Most Influential Young Africans by Africa Youth Awards and Avance Media.

Soon as word got to her, the 31-year old humbly penned;

“Well Well Well❤️ This is great. Here is to more nurturing and mentoring of young ones behind me in the African Continent… oh I’m Right next to Burna boy. I’m humbled. Asanteni Sana. ????????”

Kenyas top comedian, Blessed Njugush earned himself a seat at the high table, taking the title of a Comedian in the newly unveiled 2020 competitive list.

For Njugush, despite its fair share of challenges, 2020 has proven its worth.

Apart from the two, Kenya also boasts of political activist Boniface Mwangi, environmental activist Charlot Magayi, journalists Dorcas Wangira and Edith Kimani, corporate executive Ogutu Okudo, entrepreneurs Qabale Duba and Umra Omar and football star Victor Wanyama.
