Comedian 2Mbili Clarifies Financial Status, Says He’s Homeless But Not Broke
Kenyan comedian and YouTuber Andrew Duncan Oduor, popularly known as 2Mbili, has clarified his financial status after reports circulated that he was broke and homeless.
In a Q&A session with his fans on Instagram on October 2, 2023, 2Mbili said that he has been homeless for the past three months. However, he clarified that he is not broke, as he sleeps in his BMW.
“Homeless not broke,” he wrote.
On September 3, 2023, 2Mbili took to Instagram to narrate how he had been struggling in the past two months, sleeping in his car, hotels, or at friends’ places.
“It’s Fine,Not To Be Fine!! The Past 2 months Have Not Been Easy … Just keeping My Cool & pretend All is Fine! Maybe Some day I will make you understand Why for the past few months I have been spending the nights in the cold streets, sleeping in my cars, hotels, friends’ places etc PEACE IS SWEATER THAN SEX, I WILL EXCHANGE IT WITH EVERYTHING I OWN! SUITed By @bespoke_city @bolobespoke… ALWAYS STAY TRUE TO SIR GOD!” he wrote.
It is unclear why 2Mbili is currently homeless, but it is important to note that he is not the only person in Kenya who is struggling financially. According to the World Bank, Kenya’s poverty rate is 43%, meaning that over 20 million Kenyans live on less than $1.90 per day.
We wish 2Mbili all the best and hope that he is able to find stable housing soon.
