Cassie Speaks Out For The First Time After Video Shows Diddy’s Abuse
Singer Cassie Ventura, known professionally as Cassie, released a statement following the release of a video depicting her ex-boyfriend Sean “Diddy” Combs assaulting her in 2016.
“Domestic Violence is THE issue,” Cassie wrote on Instagram. “It broke me down to someone I never thought I would become.” She expgratitude fressed or the support she’s received and acknowledged the ongoing healing process.
Cassie emphasized the importance of believing victims, stating, “It takes a lot of heart to tell the truth out of a situation that you were powerless in.”

This comes after Cassie filed a lawsuit against Diddy last year, alleging rape and sexual trafficking. The lawsuit was settled in November 2023 for an undisclosed amount. Diddy’s lawyer denied any wrongdoing in the settlement.
Diddy issued an apology video, admitting his disgust for his actions and seeking forgiveness. However, Cassie’s lawyer criticized the apology, calling it “self-serving” and highlighting the denial of previous allegations against Diddy.

The video’s release coincides with new accusations against Diddy. Model Crystal McKinney recently filed a lawsuit alleging Diddy drugged and sexually assaulted her in 2003. Additionally, Diddy’s homes were raided by federal authorities last month as part of a human trafficking investigation.
