Kenyan media personality and entrepreneur Betty Kyallo has spoken out after her salon, Flair by Betty, was scheduled for auction due to unpaid rent.

Kyallo acknowledged the difficulty of running a business in Kenya’s current economic climate, where high rent creates a burden for struggling businesses.

“Landlords don’t want to reduce rent and it becomes a huge burden on businesses that are struggling because of the economic slowdown.”

“I am happier, I sleep better My peace of mind is more important than a name. I’m good.”

Despite this setback, Kyallo expressed gratitude for the support she’s received and her determination to persevere.

She prioritized her well-being over material success, stating that letting go of the salon brought her peace and better sleep.

The auction will include salon furniture, appliances, electronics, and security equipment.
