“My family, friends, and those close to me know that I was on the brink of becoming homeless. Last year was incredibly difficult. I would lock myself in my room and cry every day, but I never gave up on God or praying. In April, I lost everything,” she shared.
Yvette recalled struggling with the harsh reality of her situation, contemplating moving from her two-bedroom house to a smaller one.
“I remember telling my sister that life was so hard, and I might have to go back to Mom’s or downgrade to a bedsitter. But she reminded me that we serve a living God,” she said.
Her breakthrough came after seeking God’s guidance, and she witnessed a complete turnaround in her life. From sleeping on a mattress, she regained her footing and could afford things she never imagined.
“If you had told me last year that I’d be able to afford a trip to Dubai, I wouldn’t have believed it. It’s truly a blessing. I prayed to make my daughter proud, and I’m grateful that my daughter now has capable parents. If one side lacks, the other will provide,” Yvette reflected.
