Activist Morara Kebaso Released After Dramatic Arrest

Activist Morara Kebaso has been released following his arrest earlier today.

Reports suggest that Morara was detained after being summoned to retrieve his phone from the DCI Headquarters. He was subsequently taken to the Lang’ata police station, where he spent most of the day in custody.

According to part of the charge sheet, Morara is accused of incitement for shouting “Kufa dereva, Kufa Makanga” at the Bomas of Kenya. This morning, he tweeted, “I have been arrested over what happened at Bomas. Can you imagine? Does it even make sense, jamani? What is this now? Ni nini hii? Ah.”

In his tweet, Morara urged Kenyans to support him during this challenging time, saying, “Please don’t abandon me in my hour of need.” This tweet has garnered over 73,000 views.

He also called on the public to assist in enhancing his security following an attack by assailants at the Bomas of Kenya last week. On his X account, he wrote, “I am requesting Kenyans of goodwill to support me in boosting my security infrastructure and manpower.
