Ababu Namwamba Denounces Threats Against Healthcare Workers From Woman Who Name Dropped Him
Following a viral video showing a woman threatening nurses and invoking a prominent politician’s name, CS Ababu Namwamba has issued a strong statement condemning the incident and distancing himself from the individual’s actions.
“My values and commitment to public service stand firmly against such intimidation and disrespect towards healthcare workers,” stated Namwamba. “I unequivocally condemn any behavior that violates principles of integrity and professionalism.”
He assured the public that the incident is under investigation and that swift action will be taken to address any wrongdoing. “My dedication to serving the community remains unwavering, and I am committed to rebuilding trust through transparency and corrective measures,” he added.
The incident has also drawn condemnation from the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Union (KMPDU). “This behavior is not only illegal and immoral, but it also creates a hostile environment for healthcare workers who dedicate themselves to serving the community,” said Dr. Davji Bhimji Atellah, National Secretary-General of KMPDU. “We demand that the perpetrators be held accountable, and that the safety of healthcare workers be prioritized.”
