Exclusive: Massawe Japanni quits Radio Jambo and yes, money had everything to do with it

Reports reaching the Ghafla newsdesk is that Massawe Japanni has quit Radio Jambo.

The radio star who does the mid-morning show from 10AM to 2PM hasn’t been at work for the last one week and we can assure you she’s not coming back.

The last time she was at work was on March 31st where she made this post on Facebook:

Her social media pages have been inactive since then.

As we have gathered from a close source, she had an altercation with her bosses when she asked for a pay hike which was part of her agreement when she joined Radio Jambo from Milele FM.

That promise has always being procrastinated with the management alleging the station is not in a financial position to accommodate her demands and thus she should wait a little while longer.

Apparently she got tired of waiting and thus called it quits.

On other matters radio, Kazungu Matano popularly known as Otoyo finally handed over his resignation at Milele as he seeks to replace Jalango at Radio Maisha.
