Afro-pop singer Miss Randy explains why she is yet to work with Alikiba, Wyre and Wahu
Miss Randy debuted as a singer when she dropped ‘Love Me’ with Boss MOG. She was just a random promoter who worked with big names in Kenya before she decided to start singing.
Randy aspires to work with big names in East African showbiz, in February this year she revealed that she would wish to work with Alikiba, Wahu and Wyre.
The Dubai based singer has since opened up why she hasn’t been able to work with her music mentors just yet. She says she has been held up with work in Dubai and that she really hasn’t been in a position to pursue major collaborations since her collabo with Boss MOG.
“Wyre has been my mentor father since he was an Ambassador to one love Kenya team and I was the artist chosen by the team to grow with it, meeting Wyre isn’t a problem he is a humble artist. Alikiba yes we have been chatting along but not that much yet we haven’t meet in person with him, but he still inspires me a lot. Wahu never hard from her and have never made a step to fetch her, the time will come for that,” said Miss Randy.
She also says that controversial singer Akothee and Zikki have been inspiring her of late.
Big plans
Randy also said that she was taking time to know who she could work with because in the past some people took advantage of her.
“I have to learn and know who am I dealing with, because money-wise have spent a lot forno reason. Industry has taught me a lot and when I get back fully I know what to do and what not to do.
Adding that;
“I still want to do my solo music first and when the right time comes I will do collabos, or if anyone approaches me no problem am flexible. I will not only work with artistes in Kenya but internationally as well, Randy is a star and a brand. I believe in myself since I meet lots of international artistes and interact with them in Dubai anything is possible.
