Kenyans attack man celebrating on Facebook the death of musician who allegedly conned him

A Mombasa-based man named Rodgers Jasembo has become a trending topic after he took to Facebook to celebrate the death of his friend, Jerry Jalamo who is an a artist.

According to Rodgers, Jalamo, a once a popular vernacular musician, owed him money and had been taking him round and round till the day he passed on. Rodgers said that he’s glad he died.

”Am today feeling happy because this conman is gone after conning me thousands of shillings and avoiding me plus our contract. You can never go anywhere with some else’s money apart from the grave,” Rodgers captioned Jerry’s photos on Facebook.

The posts didn’t go down well as Kenyans attacked him for being pathetic. Later on, Rodgers came out to explain what really happened and clarify his earlier post. Shockingly, he wasn’t apologetic.

“I know that most of you will not understand this and will continue abusing me but am now forced to go straight to the point, I met this conman this year in March in kisumu and we discussed business, after the agreement that I was to organize for him three shows.” he said.

“He asked for down-payment of those three shows and I gave him exactly the amount of money he requested for, after that I went to Seme Akado to look for the venue for our first show and I got, and after four days I was able to get all the three venues for those three shows and I asked him to send me his photo that he would prefer to be on the poster and he refused and told me that he couldn’t perform because of the amount I paid him and asked me to add him 15k on top of the money I paid him earlier and I told him that I can’t add him any amount because I was the one to pay for the venues, permits, posters, supper for all band members, sound system and their transport so ningeongeza PESA ningeenda hasara, then after that phone call he told me that he will refund me my money back after one week, kumbuka hiyo alisema pekee yake and I said its alright, after one week I called him and a lady picked up the phone and told me that WAS NOT Jerry’s phone number.

“I downloaded true caller and called the same number and the name Was his though he didn’t pick up and I sent him a text message asking for my money but he didn’t text me back, after one month later I lost his number, then I went to club Nilotic BONDO to look for another venue for a different artist (Igwe Prezda Bandason) and I met Jerry again and told him that I lost his phone number and he told me that ako na yangu so atanipigia akishaweka airtime na anitumie pesa yangu pia But he didn’t call me or send me my money,

“I went to Siaya and secured a venue for Bandason at Kitu Moto Club then I went again to BONDO to ask him if he could perform alongside Bandason (kwa ile pesa yangu) and he said no, I asked him his phone number and he said that his phone was off and I left, then we met again coincidentally kwa club ingine BONDO (not Nilotic), he came straight to my table and asked me what I was drinking and I told him Redbull and he bought me 2 then asked me to just keep calm because he was in a meeting with his friends eti atanipigia later and again he didn’t and that was early August this year,

“I never met him again mpaka kifo chake jana, Now am just feeling happy coz alinicon na amekufa sasa hizo PESA hazijamsaidia, so that is how he conned me and I’m actually a happy man now, you can insult me again, I don’t care, tungekutana before akufe ningemsamehe lakini sasa ashaenda so ata niseme nimemsamehe still haitamfikia.”
