Louis Otieno finally regains his hearing after two agonizing years

Louis Otieno lost his hearing while he was being treated for acute pancreatitis. The former KTN anchor was technically deaf for two and a half years.

Louis however breathed a sign of relief when Professor Macharia Muthuri evaluated his condition and revealed that he could regain his hearing.

Surgery

Professor Macharia recommended that Louis undergo a surgery that would help him gain back his hearing. The former anchor was finally operated on in June, cochlear implant was placed on his damaged cochlear cells to help stimulate the hearing nerve.

The delicate surgery lasted for three long hours but he didn’t regain his hearing immediately. Louis was finally able to hear again four weeks after the delicate surgery.
