Tanzania in mourning after MV Nyerere ferry sinks killing at least 86 people in Lake Victoria

Several Tanzanian celebrities have come out to send their condolences and well wishes to victims of MV Nyerere ferry that sank on 20th September.

According to an interview shared by BBC Swahili 86 people have been confirmed dead while 37 rescued are currently receiving medical attention.

However word has it that the Ferry sank at 2pm but the government sent a rescue team at 4pm. With this, many have come out to complain about the government’s ignorance which contributed to the number of people of people who died in 2 hours.

Among those who have sent out well wishes to families affected by the incident is Diamond Platnumz, Rayvanny, Mange Kimambi and Jokate Mwegelo.
