“I’m afraid time has come my friends” Cancer-stricken BBC presenter sends tweeps to tears as she tweets to say goodbye before she dies

BBC’s Rachael Bland caused a stir on Twitter when she boldly announced that she had only a few days to live. She was bidding goodbye to her fans knowing she could be dead anytime.

“In the words of the legendary Frank S – I’m afraid the time has come my friends. And suddenly. I’m told I’ve only got days. It’s very surreal. Thank you so much for all the support I’ve received. Debs and lozz will continue with the #youmebigc podcast. Au revoir my friends. ??” she tweeted.

Terminal cancer

Rachael was diagnosed with breast cancer in November 2016. She had months of chemotherapy and other cancer treatment but never truly healed from the chronic disease.

The 40-year-old mother of one was out with her son when she received the devastating phone call to break the news that her cancer could not be treated.

The BBC Radio 5 Live presenter took to Twitter on Monday September 3rd to say goodbye to her friends, fans and listeners. She revealed how she’s preparing her family for the day when she’s no longer here.

Rachael’s heartbreaking tweet sent some tweeps to tears, the outpouring of love from tweeps was overwhelming.
