Serikali saidia! Kilifi women protest over Muguka ruining their marriages and men under performing in the bedroom 

Women in Kilifi County want Muguka(Khat) banned. According to the women, the drug is to blame for the bad sex they are getting from their men, the increased problems in their marriages and also divorce cases.

The women hit the street to protest over the drug also blaming it for the poor performance by their children in schools.

“This (muguka) has become the main cause of marriage break ups as our husbands fail to satisfy us in bed once they eat muguka,” said Kibibi Ali, the chairperson of the group.

 “Our children have also become thieves so that they can get money to buy muguka, which is not a good thing at all. Where are we taking the future of our children if we allow this to happen?” she added.

Kibibi also said that marriages are failing because men don’t bring back anything in at home having spent it all on the drug.
