The couple broke down the modifications they made to their Land Cruiser to suit their travels, including:

• KSh 200,000 – Bull bar

• KSh 50,000 – High-performance lights

• KSh 20,000 per pair – Additional mounted lights

• KSh 30,000 – High Jack lift system

• Other add-ons: Roof rack, extra fuel tank, waterproof shade, solar panels, utensils, and furniture

According to them, the vehicle was designed to function like a mini home, ensuring maximum comfort throughout the journey.

This wasn’t the couple’s first setback on the road. Just a week before the accident, they experienced a mechanical breakdown, forcing them to call in a mechanic for emergency repairs.

The Land Cruiser Prado, which they purchased in October 2024, had been a major milestone for their family. At the time of its acquisition, Carey expressed her gratitude, stating:
