The Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC) has announced planned maintenance work that will result in temporary power interruptions in multiple regions across the country on Wednesday, March 26, 2025. The scheduled outages will take place between 9:00 A.M. and 5:00 P.M., with some areas experiencing interruptions until 6:00 P.M.

Nairobi Region

Residents and businesses in the following locations should prepare for power disruptions:

• Waiyaki Way and Surrounding Areas: Part of Waiyaki Way, Kangemi, Kawangware, Kabete, Hatheru Road, ILRI, Mt View, Naivasha Road, Kikuyu Road, Muhuri Road, Uthiru, Part of Kinoo, Thiongo Road, Kiuru Road, Ngina Road, Ndwaru Road, Ruthimitu, Dagoretti High School, Part of Waithaka, and adjacent areas.
• Githurai 45 and Environs: Githurai 45, Co-op Bank, Naivas, Kingdom Sacco, Mt. Kenya, Kimbo, Mwana Mukia, Clanne Academy, Kassmatt, Fountain Junior, Kwa DO, Mukinye, Army Barracks, Sukari B, Mwiki School, Kimbo Police, Part of Mwihoko, Farmers Choice, Part of Clay City, and surrounding customers.

Makueni County

• Sultan to Kasikeu: Part of Sultan Town, Kandolo, King’otole, Barazani, Kwa Kiwu, Serena Williams, Mutyambua, Mutanda Girls, Kasikeu, and nearby areas.

North Rift Region (Nandi County)

• Kapkangani, Kechire Village, Danger Market: Danger Market, Kechire Secondary School, Kechire Village, Kapkangani, and adjacent locations (Power outage until 6:00 P.M.).
• Soisitet and Taunet: Soisitet, Taunet, and nearby customers.

Western Region (Kakamega County)

• Elukho Market and Shikoti Market: Elukho, Shikoti, Ewamahumbi, Ematia Market, Etemesi, Tumaini, and adjacent areas.
