Eric Omondi Defends Wife Lynn Njihia Amid Weight Loss Criticism
Eric Omondi has come to the defense of his wife, Lynn Njihia, following public discussions about her significant weight loss after giving birth to their daughter.
Lynn’s transformation has sparked debate on social media, with many speculating about the reasons behind her drastic change. In a recent interview with Trudy Kituyi, Eric addressed the criticism, emphasizing that Lynn is young and has the right to look and feel her best.
Responding to claims that her weight loss might be due to stress from their relationship, Eric dismissed the rumors. “People will always have something to say. If she had gained weight, they would have talked. Now that she has lost weight, they are still talking. What do they expect?” he remarked, highlighting the constant scrutiny women face over their bodies.
He further questioned societal expectations, stating, “Lynn is young—do people expect her to gain weight and look like a mother figure? If she had put on weight, they would have told her to go to the gym. Now that she works out, they claim she’s stressed. Let Lynn enjoy herself, slay, and feel good.”
Lynn previously shared her fitness journey in late 2024, revealing that she had lost 17kg over eight months through consistency and discipline. “This is what 8 months of dedication gets you. 17KGS DOWN! It wasn’t easy—it took sweat and tears. I feel lighter, healthier, and amazing to be a size Small. I AM PROUD OF MYSELF,” she wrote.
While many applauded her commitment, others expressed nostalgia for her curvier figure. Some fans encouraged her to maintain her current weight, while others urged her not to lose more.
The conversation around body image remains subjective, with different beauty standards shaping people’s opinions. While curvier figures are often celebrated as “thick” and desirable, slim physiques are also admired for their elegance and fitness.
Despite mixed reactions, one thing is certain—Lynn is proud of her transformation, and as Eric Omondi put it, “As long as she loves how she looks, that’s what matters.”
