Mbosso Reportedly Departs WCB as Diamond Platnumz Opens Doors for New Artists

Tanzanian singer Mbosso has wiped his social media pages clean, fueling speculation about his recent departure from Diamond Platnumz’s record label, WCB.

According to Baba Levo, a close associate of Diamond, the decision was made amicably, with Mbosso leaving without any financial obligations to the label.

“Due to Mbosso’s deep respect for Diamond Platnumz and WCB’s leadership, Diamond has allowed him to pursue his own path without having to pay anything to the label. WCB is now considering signing nine new artists in 2025,” Baba Levo revealed.

He further emphasized that Mbosso’s discipline played a major role in Diamond’s decision to let him go without any financial penalties.

“Mbosso’s dedication and respect have led Diamond Platnumz to waive millions of shillings and grant him full freedom to work outside of WCB. This move also opens up opportunities for WCB to bring in fresh talent this year,” he added.

WCB Announces Search for New Talent

With Mbosso’s departure, WCB has begun scouting for new artists to join the label. A producer from the label announced that auditions are underway.
