General Muhoozi Opens Up About Unexpected Feud with Jay-Z

Muhoozi Kainerugaba, son of Ugandan President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, recently shared his thoughts on X (formerly Twitter) in a series of lighthearted yet provocative posts.

“But how long will I wait for Beyoncé? Does she know how many cows I have??” he questioned, referring to Uganda’s prized Ankole cattle.

He then took a jab at Jay-Z, adding, “Jay-Z is an impoverished guy. He doesn’t even have one Nkore cow. How will he look after my woman?”

The Ankole cattle, often regarded as sacred by the Banyankole people of Nkore, Uganda, symbolize wealth and cultural heritage, according to Wikipedia.

A History of Controversial Online Statements

Muhoozi is known for his candid and often polarizing remarks on social media.

In 2023, he declared his intention to one day lead Uganda, tweeting, “Fortune favours the sons of God! I will be President of Uganda one day.” He later reaffirmed this ambition, writing, “The only way I can repay my great mother is by being President of Uganda! And I shall do it!”

In September of the same year, he faced public backlash for a now-deleted tweet claiming:
“No civilian will lead Uganda after President Museveni. The security forces will not allow it. The next leader will be a soldier or a policeman.”

Despite these bold claims, Muhoozi later denied any plans to run for office in the 2026 elections. Instead, he urged support for his father’s bid for a seventh term, tweeting:
“I would like to announce that I will not be on the ballot paper in 2026. Almighty God told me to focus on His Army first. So, I fully endorse President Yoweri Museveni in the next elections.”

He also expressed his deep connection to the Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF), declaring:
“For me, NOTHING on this earth is more Holy than UPDF! So, I cannot think of a greater honour than being in UPDF. It is Holy Ground!! God bless Holy UPDF and Sacred Uganda forever!!!”
