When asked about her current state, she didn’t shy away from the truth. “We’re hanging in there, you know,” she said, acknowledging the resilience required to push forward during personal challenges.

Looking back on 2024, Nana described it as “one of the most difficult and also the best years.” She highlighted the mix of good and bad times, emphasizing her efforts to maintain equilibrium. “Balance is an illusion. The more you chase it, the more it evades you. So, I just always say, do the best you can whenever you can,” she remarked.

Nana credited her faith as a cornerstone of her strength, explaining that her spiritual beliefs have provided clarity and grace during trying moments. She expressed gratitude for the support and stability her faith has offered as she embraces this new chapter.

When asked to encapsulate 2024 in a song, Nana confidently chose DJ Khaled’s “All I Do Is Win,” reflecting her determination to celebrate victories, no matter how small, amidst adversity.

Shifting to Kenyan music, Nana’s enthusiasm shone as she discussed her favorite tracks of the year. She highlighted Anguka Nayo, a song that resonated with many and became an anthem for the Junior Starlets following their triumph over Mexico in the U-17 Women’s World Cup. Though she humorously admitted she’s not the best dancer, Nana expressed her unwavering support for the hit.

The year also brought unexpected social media fame for Nana, though not in the way she would have liked. “You guys made it viral for me,” she joked, playfully chastising her followers for putting her in the spotlight. “I’ve never trended in Kenya, and I did for the wrong reasons. I don’t like it. You guys are bad!” she teased.

Nana Owiti’s journey through 2024 has been anything but ordinary. With faith as her foundation and a steadfast determination to embrace life’s ups and downs, she continues to find joy, gratitude, and strength even amid life’s challenges.
