Kabi WaJesus suggested that a lack of commitment in relationships might explain the rising number of breakups.

Speaking in an interview with Mungai Eve, Kabi revealed, “I used to ask your ex (Trevor) what his intentions were with you. I would advise him to marry you so things could fall into place. I even asked you the same question. I wanted to understand what both of you wanted.”

He continued, “It’s easy to part ways with someone when there’s no covenant binding you. How many times do you think Love (Milly) and I have annoyed each other? Many times. But there’s so much holding us together that we can’t just wake up and say, ‘I’m done.’ Even if that were to happen, it would take time.”

Kabi clarified, “I’m not condemning those who cohabit, but it’s not ideal. If young people learn to do things the right way, future marriages will thrive.”

Mungai Eve echoed his sentiments, saying, “As a former cohabitor, I completely agree with you. Mistakes were made, but it won’t happen again.”

She admitted that her decision to live with Trevor stemmed from desperation. “Looking back, I’ve realized many young people get into marriages or relationships due to circumstances. I moved in with Trevor because I didn’t want to stay at my parents’ house and had nowhere else to go. We barely knew each other, having met toward the end of 2019,” she shared.

In September 2024, Kabi explained why he and Milly sometimes go quiet on social media. “Sometimes I feel like I’m forcing her to participate, and she might just be showing up for support. It gets frustrating. If you notice us being silent, it could be because Milly has refused to shoot or we’re going through a tough time in our marriage. We can’t hide these things; you all know us so well.”

He added, “When we try to record during difficult times, it’s so obvious, so we prefer resolving issues before sharing anything online.”

Milly later appeared in a video to challenge Kabi’s remarks, asking, “What are you even telling people? Just because I’m late to a video, you’re talking like you’re grieving.”

Kabi explained he was being transparent with their fans, but Milly dismissed it. “I told you, love, that I’m not always into this. I agreed to be part of it, but I didn’t expect it to be so constant. It’s overwhelming,” she admitted.

She also acknowledged fans’ curiosity about their marriage, adding, “Taking time away from social media was crucial for us. If we hadn’t done that, we wouldn’t have achieved what we have today. Being on this platform for seven years has taught us a lot about what to share and when to step back.”
