“Being single, sober, and celibate isn’t something I’m flaunting as an achievement. It’s about taking a pause to listen to myself and make critical decisions. I’ve been single, sober, and celibate for over a year. I’m not sure when I’ll resume some of the things I’ve set aside. For now, I’m allowing myself to fully embrace this period.”
She further clarified that her decision stems from self-preservation rather than pleasure, admitting it has been both rewarding and challenging.
“It has brought me immense peace and perspective, but it’s not easy. We live in an overly sexualized society, and being celibate often leads people to assume something is wrong with you,” she said.
Janet also addressed rumors of her being involved with a younger man after posting a cryptic message on social media. In the post, she stated:
