Student Writes Off His Father’s 57 Million Car in Drunk Crash
A young, privileged man has learned a costly lesson after crashing his father’s Ksh 57,099,440 Aston Martin during a late-night joyride.
Will Gould, 20, the son of a millionaire farmer, lost control of the high-powered sports car and overturned it into a field just 800 yards from his family’s Ksh 391,198,560 estate. The incident occurred at 4 am while his father was away on business.
Gould, who was studying agriculture at the time, was trapped in the wreckage for several hours before emergency services could extract him. Blood tests revealed he was over the legal alcohol limit.
The young driver pleaded guilty to drink driving, careless driving, and driving without insurance. He was fined Ksh 19,578 and banned from driving for 16 months.
In court, Gould’s lawyer admitted that the incident was a “stupid mistake” and that the young man had been “incredibly lucky” to escape serious injury.
The crash has not only damaged the expensive car but has also caused significant inconvenience to Gould’s family. His father has made him work extra hours on the farm to help pay for the damages.
This incident serves as a stark reminder of the dangers of drink driving and the severe consequences that can result from irresponsible behavior.
