Content Creator Yung Filly Faces Sexual Assault Charges
British rapper and online personality Yung Filly, whose real name is Andres Felipe Valencia Barrientos, has been charged with rape in Australia. Best known for his collaborations with the YouTube group Beta Squad and for hosting shows on BBC Three, the 29-year-old was arrested in Brisbane and extradited to Perth for a court hearing.
Barrientos faces multiple charges, including four counts of sexual penetration without consent, three counts of assault causing bodily harm, and one count of obstructing a person’s breathing by applying pressure to their neck. The incident allegedly took place on 28 September after Barrientos brought a woman in her 20s to his hotel room following a performance at Bar1 nightclub in Perth.
He was granted bail after being represented in Perth Magistrates Court by barrister Seamus Rafferty SC. Barrientos, who was on a music tour in Australia, is also known for his appearances on UK shows like ITV’s *Soccer Aid* and *The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up To Cancer* on Channel 4. He previously won a MOBO Award for Best Media Personality in 2021.
