Masterpiece Discusses Decision to Leave Gospel Music

The *High Bila Ndom* hitmaker, Masterpiece, recently opened up to Oga Obinna about his decision to step back from the Gospel music scene and shared his thoughts on its current state.

“I haven’t been involved for a while, so I can’t say much, but it seems like things are going well now. However, they should focus on real Gospel music,” he remarked.

Masterpiece explained why he shifted away from exclusively creating Gospel music:

“I don’t want to box myself in. Before you criticize me, think carefully. At the end of the day, everyone has their own life. If you make wrong choices, you face the consequences—it’s up to you,” he said.

When asked if he plans to return to Gospel music, he clarified:

“I haven’t left Gospel. I’m still with God. I go to church and live a Christian life. I just said I’m making music. One thing about me is that I don’t say things for publicity, I speak from the heart. We all make good and bad choices, but I’m still here, relying on God to guide my path.”
