KPLC: Power Outages Expected in 3 Counties Today

The Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC) has announced that there will be power outages in several parts of the country on Tuesday, September 2nd.

In a statement issued on Sunday evening, the company explained that the outages are necessary due to maintenance work scheduled to be performed at the power stations.

The three counties that will be affected by the outages are listed below:

NAIROBI REGION

• Time: 9:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M.
• Affected Areas: Part of Lower Kabete Rd, Westlands, Ring Rd, Peponi Rd, Part of General Mathenge Drive, and surrounding areas.

WESTERN REGION

• Time: 8:30 A.M. – 3:00 P.M.
• Affected Areas: Kibos Market, KPA, Kibos School, KIRDI, Rice Mill, Elgons, Tidi, Victoria Fish Farm, Kongaya Market, Mbeme, Ooko Market, Rarieda Kaloo, Renja School, Kolewe Market, Still Mill, and surrounding areas.

SOUTH NYANZA REGION

• Time: 9:00 A.M. – 4:00 P.M.
• Affected Areas: Adiedo Secondary, Obilo Primary, Omboga, Yao Kamollo Primary, Orire Primary, Prof. Gaya TX, Kunya Primary, and surrounding areas.
