In June, he was arrested in connection with alleged fraud involving the Prime Cabinet Secretary’s office, following a security tip-off about impersonation and misuse of the facility.

In his recent video, Swaleh expressed his regret and frustration, stating that he has unsuccessfully attempted to contact President Ruto through various channels.

“Good morning, Your Excellency. I hope this video finds you well,” he began.

Swaleh detailed his attempts to reach the President, citing a long-standing trust and relationship he had with him. He expressed deep remorse for the situation, saying, “I am truly sorry for what happened.”

He described the past month as incredibly challenging, with the fallout leaving him almost unable to function and struggling to find new employment due to the negative publicity.

“Please find it in your heart to forgive me,” Swaleh pleaded.
