Comedian MCA Tricky Laments Being ‘Bro-Zoned’ by Women

Comedian MCA Tricky has opened up about the difficulties he encounters in establishing a serious relationship, a challenge partly attributed to past rumors linking him with Celine Dion Okello, popularly known as Rue Baby, the daughter of renowned musician Akothee.

In a candid conversation with fellow comedian Oga Obinna, MCA Tricky clarified that despite widespread speculation, he was never romantically involved with Rue Baby. However, the persistent rumors have complicated his efforts to pursue other relationships.

“I’m not dating Rue,” Tricky stated, acknowledging how the rumors have unexpectedly impacted his personal life. He admitted, “It’s been tough for me to find a wife.”

The comedian also shared that many women are hesitant to engage with him, primarily due to their fear of Akothee, Rue Baby’s outspoken and protective mother. “I can’t approach a girl without mentioning her. They’re like, ‘I don’t want to be beaten,’ and they think I have a dramatic mother-in-law,” Tricky explained.

Similarly, he noted that Rue Baby faces the same issue, as men who approach her often feel compelled to bring him up.

The rumors about MCA Tricky and Rue Baby began circulating online after they were frequently seen together. Their close friendship led many to believe they were dating, but the speculation eventually died down when their presumed relationship was thought to have ended.

During the interview, MCA Tricky also humorously recounted how his parents discovered he was on TV. Despite being a regular on Churchill’s show, his parents remained unaware of his television career for an entire year.
