Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC) has announced planned power interruptions across several counties on Thursday, August 15, 2024. These interruptions are necessary to facilitate maintenance and upgrade works on the power grid. Below are the affected areas:
Kiambu County
- Areas Affected: Varbrouke, Kinvogori, Limuru Girls School, Kinvogori High School, St. Francis of Assisi Limuru, Limuru Town, Nambuthia Farm, and surrounding customers.
- Time: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Nakuru County
- Areas Affected: Redhill, Tulo Amok, Agrico Potatoes, Mango B, and surrounding customers.
- Time: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Uasin Gishu County
- Areas Affected: Lemook Center, Kapseret, Nilkatn Quarry, Shajnaand Quarry, Mosombor School, Kapteldon, and surrounding customers.
- Time: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Kakamega County
- Areas Affected: Rond Hotel, Reno, Chirovani Market, Ireho Market, Kisia Market, and surrounding customers.
- Time: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Meru County
- Areas Affected: Kibirichia, Naari, Ntuene, Kiguru, Kithiora, and surrounding areas including Kibirichia Boys and Girls Secondary Schools, Kianugu Health Center, Naari Market, Ntululga Boosti, and adjacent customers.
- Time: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Mombasa County
- Areas Affected: Shanzu, including Pride Inn, Serena Hotel, Pavilion, Shanzu Garden, Georgia Apartments, Kenya White Sands, Bamburi Beach, and adjacent customers.
- Time: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
