#NaneNane spot-check: Police lob teargas and do the usual rubbish
Police have fired teargas canisters at youths who began protesting on Tom Mboya and Kenneth Matiba Streets in Nairobi.
The officers, some in plain clothes, confronted the demonstrators, arresting some of them and bundling them into a waiting police vehicle.
There is a significant deployment of riot police in anticipation of the demonstrations.
