“I am a Christian, and whoever is spreading the false allegation that I have converted should stop spreading lies. I have openly expressed my desire to return to church. The reason I haven’t attended church is because of the attention I attract as a public figure and the scrutiny I face because of my celebrity status,” she asserted.
In a previous interview with Nairobi News, Mauzo discussed his marriage to Sidika, revealing that they parted ways in June 2023, with the official announcement made in August 2023. When asked about the initiation of their relationship, Mauzo chose not to delve into specifics.

“I prefer not to go into the details of how our love story started because I want to maintain a positive perspective on her side. As long as we were doing well, that was all that mattered. At the time our relationship began, she was living in Mombasa,” he recollected.
Mauzo acknowledged Sidika’s gestures of love, including her decision to “convert to Islam to align with his religious beliefs.”
“One day she called me and expressed her desire to convert to Islam, saying she wanted us to be a Muslim couple. This was a significant sacrifice she was making for the sake of our relationship, and I agreed,” he disclosed.
According to Mauzo, Sidika converted and assumed a Muslim name, Zara. Initially cautious about the authenticity of her intentions, Mauzo admitted being moved by her sincerity.
“This gesture deeply touched my heart, and I realized the genuineness behind her intention in our relationship, although I initially had reservations, suspecting it might be for publicity,” he confessed.
Despite facing challenges in another relationship on the brink of divorce at the time, Mauzo chose to commit to his relationship with Sidika.
“The introduction of the religious aspect made me take our relationship seriously,” he affirmed.
Mauzo recounted that various issues contributed to the breakup of their relationship, with attempts to resolve them proving futile.
“We attempted to save the marriage, but unfortunately, these discussions didn’t lead to a solution. At the same time, many factors contributed to the breakdown of the marriage,” he concluded.
