Socialite Amber Ray disclosed in an interview with Amina Abdi on NTV’s The Trend on Friday, May 10, that she never had aspirations of fame but rather found herself in the spotlight due to her extravagant lifestyle attracting attention on social media.

She recounted how she inadvertently gained fame after becoming a target of cyberbullying on the Facebook group Kilimani Mums. Despite initially feeling overwhelmed by the negative attention, she acknowledged that it ultimately turned out to be a blessing in disguise.
“After being ‘anikwad’ (targeted for criticism) on Kilimani Mums, I unexpectedly gained fame. It was a turning point for me, and look at where I am now,” she explained to Amina.

Following the public scrutiny she faced on Facebook, Amber Ray admitted to feeling overwhelmed and initially deactivated all her social media accounts due to the influx of followers.
“I was overwhelmed and didn’t know how to handle it. I deactivated my social media accounts because of the sudden surge in followers. However, I eventually realized that I had to confront my fears and decided to reactivate my accounts to continue living my life,” she recounted.
