‘Radio Is Not As Lucrative As I Thought’- Vinnie Baite Elaborates As He Exits Milele FM
Celebrity comedian and content producer Vinnie Baite has spoken out about his discreet exit from Media Max-owned Milele FM and his resolute determination to never work in radio again, even if offered the chance.
Baite gave an honest conversation with other content creators on the Wamusyi Show, sharing his path and the motivations behind his significant career change.
Baite revealed that his radio duties had severely limited his capacity to do stand-up comedy, something he missed greatly.
“The last time I performed was in December 2022. I was previously unable to because of my radio show. But I quit. I performed today, and it’s a good comeback,” Baite remarked.
The comedian also made hints about his future ambitions, saying that he wanted to do a program about his recently deceased father.
He claimed it would be a terrific program and that it would convey stories he had with his father.
Declaring his disappointment with the radio business, Baite encouraged prospective broadcasters to reevaluate their goals, explaining that he had discovered radio was not what many had assumed.
“Given a chance, I would never go back to radio. It’s not as lucrative as I thought,” he confessed.
He further suggested that people should try to explore other social platforms other than radio;
“Radio is a dying platform…people should exploit online platforms more than TV, radio,” Baite advised, reflecting on the shift towards digital consumption.
