Mulamwah reveals he first laid eyes on Ruth K at a hardware store

Comedian Mulamwah, known for his humor, has shared an unexpected twist to his love story with his girlfriend Ruth K, alias Bestie.

The revelation came in a candid video on Ruth K’s YouTube channel, where they detailed their amusing encounter at a hardware store in Eldoret.

The couple, now expecting their first child, playfully discussed their initial meeting.

“Yes, you have been asking for the longest time, how we met? It’s funny,” Ruth shared.

According to Mulamwah, Ruth K had been pursuing him privately.

“She is the one who met me by the way.”

However, she promptly denied this, urging him to share the true version of their meeting.

“Mimi? Hakuna, msidanganywe, tell them the truth of how we met,” she told Mulamwa who insisted that she had his pictures on her phone before they met.

“Why did you then have my photos on your gallery by the time we met? You were stalking me.”

She defended herself, saying she had been admiring his outfits.

“Heh, is it bad to stalk someone? Si unastalk tuu msee, kama napenda outfit yako, ilikuwa unatafutia mtu wangu au bro wangu, si naangalia tuu.”

Ruth and Mulamwah bantered about the circumstances, with her teasing him about his marital status at the time.

They revealed that they met in Eldoret, where she worked at a hardware store.

Mulamwah explained, “We met in a weird place; you can’t believe you would meet someone there, mrembo anafanya kazi uko. I was buying some metals, you know I’m an artist, so we were buying metals rods for a tent, so I was forced to enter a hardware.”

He continued, “So, I entered and met a woman on the counter. We talked a bit, ndio kamtu alitoka, ni kama alikuwa anapanga misumari kwa kilo. (That is when she emerged from the back where I think she was arranging nails).”

Mulamwah added that he noticed her beautiful looks, saying, “When she stood up, I was like ei what’s going one?”

He confirmed that it was Ruth who asked for his contacts.

“She texted me and sent me her IG handle. She had kienyeji pictures,” he shared.

Initially, Mulamwah had conveyed to his fans that he was not romantically involved with Ruth K, a stance that shifted only when he visited her family for a traditional wedding.
