Gospel Singer Lady Bee Loses Five-Year Investment In Athi River Demolitions

Gospel artiste Lady Bee is counting her losses after her five-year investment in Athi River was demolished in minutes. The demolitions are ongoing on land owned by East Africa Portland Cement.

Lady Bee shared a video on her Instagram account showing bulldozers bringing down palatial homes as owners watched helplessly. She captioned the video with a lengthy write-up questioning the Court’s decision that ruled all title deeds revoked since the disputed land belongs to Portland Cement.

“😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 I can’t thank God enough for salvation, because sato nigedie😭😭😭 but am here to testify that indeed the joy of the Lord is my strength πŸ’”πŸ˜πŸ˜πŸ˜ watching helplessly my property go down is the most painful thing ever πŸ˜πŸ’” my heart is so broken, why didn’t you give us notice then??? Why???Β ” Lady Bee questioned.

Lady Bee also expressed her condolences to the affected investors and families who are currently embroiled in agony, pain, anguish and loss of property worth millions. She said that she was not given a notice and termed the demolitions insensitive and inhumane.

Lady Bee’s plight is a reminder of the many Kenyans who have lost their investments and homes due to land disputes. It is also a reminder of the need for the government to ensure that land rights are protected and that evictions are carried out in a humane and compassionate manner.
