Khaligraph Jones Calls Out Diamond Platnumz For Copying His Coffin Performance
Kenyan rapper Khaligraph Jones has accused Tanzanian superstar Diamond Platnumz of copying his coffin performance.
Diamond recently performed at the Wasafi Festival in a spine-chilling spectacle where he was carried on stage in a coffin. The performance was met with mixed reactions, with some fans praising Diamond’s creativity and others accusing him of plagiarism.
Khaligraph, who performed in a coffin six years ago, took to social media to call out Diamond.
“6 years ago. The OG shall be respected,” he captioned a video of his own coffin performance.
Khaligraph said that he chose to perform in a coffin because it was the only way to communicate the intended message from his hit song “Mazishi” to his fans.
“I felt that the message I was trying to put across would be better with a casket on set, coz I was trying to give two different sides of the story. One side is of me the dead guy and the other me the thug guy, so the casket had to be used,” he said.
Khaligraph’s accusation has sparked a debate on social media, with some people supporting him and others defending Diamond.
Only time will tell whether Diamond will respond to Khaligraph’s accusations.
