Tanzanian singer Diamond Platnumz has clarified his relationship with Ugandan singer Spice Diana, saying that they are just going to do a song together.

Platnumz made the remarks during a press conference in Kampala, Uganda, where he is currently performing.

“About Spice Diana, we are just going to do a song, I’m not going to chew her,” he told journalists.

He added that the two have met before and that he has worked with her in the past.

“For Spice, I have worked with her before…she’s been to Tanzania and she worked with my artist Zuchu… I hosted her at my house, and she’s been to my office as well,” he said.

Platnumz’s remarks have sparked mixed reactions on social media, with some fans expressing disappointment that he is not interested in pursuing a romantic relationship with Diana.

However, others have defended Platnumz, saying that he is simply being respectful of Diana and her family.

Meanwhile, Platnumz recently hinted that he is expecting a child with his signee Zuchu.

“Nasemaje, ndio kwanza tumeanza, yaani mashabiki wanakula raha kuanzia July 2023 hadi January 2024 mchumba anapoenda kujifungua.”.

(I’m saying this, we have just started, fans will be having fun from July 2023 to January 2024 when my fiancee will be giving birth)

It remains to be seen whether Platnumz’s remarks about Diana are simply a way to deflect attention from his relationship with Zuchu, or if there is something more to the story.
