Jose Chameleone hospitalised in USA

Following a stomach infection, Jose Chameleone, a famed musician from Uganda, was admitted to a hospital in the US.

According to the singer’s father to Bukedde TV, the iconic artist, 44, has been experiencing gastrointestinal issues:

“Chameleone has been sick in the past months. When he moved to America, the illness became worse. He is now so sick, he is on his sickbed. He has been having complications in his stomach that he is currently receiving treatment for.”

Gravitty Omutujji, a Ugandan musician, has urged other Ugandan celebrities to unite and pray for the singer.

“As a country, we need to pray for Chameleone, his friends, and everybody, wherever you are, pray for Chameleone because he is terribly ill. At the time I gave him a call, he was heading into the OR room for an operation.”

was said to be severely ill and in the ICU in 2021. His mother Prossy Mayanja was caring for him in the hospital bed in the pictures that went viral.

The ‘Valu Valu’ hitmaker was genuinely ill at the time, and his personal assistant later told some Ugandan media that he was being treated at Nakasero Hospital.

He had H-pylori, a type of bacteria that affects the stomach, at the time, according to his wife Daniella Atim. It may harm the tissue in the stomach and the small intestine’s initial section.

“I’m proud of myself because I’ve mastered the art to stay calm during the storm” – Daniella

She expressed her annoyance in another tweet at social media users who were sharing her husband’s hospital photo.

“But why are we all sharing that so unpleasant photo of our personal person? Do you guys realise he has children far from him whose emotional wellbeing you and me should protect? So I’m busy collected explaining to my child that Pylori is a bacterial infection that should clear with consistent treatment and you are all sharing a damn picture. Don’t we all have a happy picture of our favourite human?”
