Ex-Treasury official Tom Osinde was killed in his Nakuru home, police say
The motive for the murder is still unknown, but police believe the killers may have targeted Osinde’s money.
Two suspects have been arrested in connection with the murder, but they have not revealed much about the motive.
One of the suspects, Mogoi Ondari, was hired as a farmhand by Osinde three months before the murder. He is believed to have cleaned up the crime scene to conceal evidence, but forensics detectives were able to find blood samples that matched Osinde’s DNA.
Osinde was killed on June 18, 2023, and his body was found in River Kuja four days later. His car was also found with blood stains.
Police are still investigating the case and are looking for other possible suspects.
