Nakuru Senator Tabitha Karanja Resigns As The CEO Of Keroche Breweries

Karanja, who is also the Deputy Leader of the Majority in the Senate, announced her resignation on Tuesday at a press conference held at Keroche Breweries’ headquarters in Naivasha.

She said she was stepping down to focus on her political career and to serve the people of Nakuru County.

“I have decided to step down as the CEO of Keroche Breweries so that I can fully focus on my role as the Senator for Nakuru County and as the Deputy Leader of the Majority in the Senate,” Karanja said.

“I am confident that the company is in good hands with Potas Anaya, who has been appointed as the new CEO. Potas is a seasoned accountant and financial manager with over 20 years of experience in the corporate world.”

Anaya, who has been with Keroche Breweries for 15 years, said he was honored to be appointed as the new CEO.

“I am grateful to the board of directors for entrusting me with this responsibility,” Anaya said. “I will work hard to ensure that Keroche Breweries continues to grow and prosper.”

Karanja founded Keroche Breweries in 1997 with her husband Joseph Karanja. The company has since grown into one of the largest brewers in Kenya, with a market share of over 10%.

Keroche Breweries has been embroiled in a number of legal battles with the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) in recent years. The company has accused the KRA of harassment and unfair taxation.
