Eric Omondi Calls Out Kenyan Artists For Lackluster Music Production

Popular comedian Eric Omondi has taken to social media to call out Kenyan artists for their lackluster music production.

In a series of posts, Omondi criticized the quality of mixing, mastering, and video shoots, claiming that Tanzanian and Nigerian artists have dominated the industry by delivering superior content.

“I’m tired of seeing Kenyan artists release subpar videos that fail to meet the competitive market’s standards,” Omondi wrote. “We need to start taking our music seriously if we want to be taken seriously on the global stage.”

Omondi specifically called out Kenyan artists Khaligraph Jones, KRG the Don, and Willy Paul, accusing them of being lazy and complacent.

“These guys are making millions of shillings from their music, but they can’t even be bothered to put in the effort to produce quality content,” Omondi said. “It’s a disgrace.”

Omondi also expressed disappointment in the lack of support for local talent from Kenyans themselves.

“We’re the first to criticize our own artists, but we’re the last to support them,” Omondi said. “We need to start changing our mindset if we want to see the Kenyan music industry grow.”

Omondi concluded his rant by announcing that he would be releasing his own music video on Friday. He promised that the video would be of the highest quality and would set a new standard for Kenyan music videos.
