Diamonds Platnumz Congratulates Kenya For Electing 5th President Despite Endorsing Raila

Tanzanian musical star Diamond Platnumz has sent a congratulatory message to netizens for electing their 5th President William Samoei Ruto.

The singer was among the renowned artists who endorsed Raila Odinga during his campaign, and managed to pull a huge crowd during the event.

It’s important to note that the singer was paid a whopping 11 Million to perform at Raila Odinga’s campaign. Despite his performance and his intention for rooting for Odinga, the singer has shown he has no bad blood with the winner William Ruto.  After learning about the victory, he immediately shared via his Instagram to congratulate Kenya.

“Pongezi sana wana Kenya kwa kuhitimisha zoezi la uchaguzi na kumpata rais mpya leo. Sasa hivi si team Ruto, Wajackoya ama team Odinga. Ni pamoja team Kenya ili kwa pamoja tuendeleze maendeleo ya Kenya na wana Kenya kwa ujumla (Congratulations Kenyans for participating in the election so as to get the new president today. Right now it is now about team Ruto, Wajackoyah or Raila Odinga. It is about togetherness so as to promote development of Kenya and the entire citizens),” Diamond wrote.
