MC Jessy Sends Message To Ruto After Losing South Imenti Seat (Video)

Churchill Show comedian MC Jessy, real name is Jasper Muthomi conceded defeat after losing to Dr Shadrack Mwiti of Jubilee party in his bid to become the next Member of Parliament of South Imenti.

Jessy accepted defeat as an independent candidate and showed maturity by congratulating his opponent Mwiti for clinging the MP seat. He went ahead to thank his supporters for the immense support.

“To the People of South Imenti Constituency, I Sincerely Thank you so much for the time we have interacted during our campaign time. It has been a great journey. A journey of amazing political adventure. A journey of daring hearts. We will continue to engage as we look forward to Next time. God willing,” Jessy wrote on social media.

Jessy initially wanted to vie for the seat on UDA party ticket but his party leader William Ruto recommended he drops out of the race for UDA’s Mwiti Kathaara and take up a role in his presidential campaigns.

MC Jessy’s Message To Ruto

On August 15, IEBC Chairman Wafula Chebukati announced William Ruto as the President-elect after almost a week of waiting. One of his main supporters was MC Jessy- who couldn’t keep calm about the victory. He sent a heartfelt congratulatory message to the 5th President and expressed how confident he was that Ruto would win.

”The 5th was always William Samoei Ruto. So ukiona sisi tulikuwa tumeegemea hiyo side, tulikuwa tunajua… This guy has actually worked for it. Let’s just support him… Naskia raha.”
