Eric Omondi Causes Drama At Parliament With Modified ‘House’-I Will Camp Here Until They Pass The Bill
Controversial comedian Eric Omondi is back at it again. He has left tongues wagging after his latest act outside Parliament. The jester has been pushing for the play 75% local music bill to be passed since last year; and he’s not letting the issue slide.
The funnyman spearheaded the campaign late last year; and found himself locking horns with both musicians & the police(who locked him up for hours at Central Police Station). He learnt his lesson & had to follow the right channel to pass the bill.
The bill is set to calibrate Kenyan music industry and place it on a pedestal-according to Eric; and he handed it to Embakasi East MP Babu Owino and Starehe MP Charles Njagua in November 23, 2021 . The jester’s previous haphazard move saw him arrested for planning a demonstration outside Parliament.
Trying All Means…
After several weeks of not getting any feedback, Eric has gone to Parliament yet again. With his bodyguards in tow, the funnyman was carried in a modified ‘house’ which he claims he will camp in for the next months until the bill is passed.
”Na mimi sitoki apa mpaka wapitishe bill ya hio motion yetu ya play 75%. Ntakaa apa. Kama ni one month ntakaa one month. Kama ni 2 months, ntakaa 2 months. Na mimi sikuli. Ntakunywa maji. Ntalala apa mpaka wapitishe. Maanake this is the only way…”
A small crowd formed around Eric’s ‘house’ as onlookers remained startled with his action. Watch the full video below;
