I Used To Hawk Clothes With My Girlfriend, Who Dumped Me Afterwards- Flaqo

During early youthful stages, most people tend to try out small business including hawking items and clothes to make some little cash. Like most campus students, comedian Flaqo also had his own way of making some cash, with his girlfriend in tow. As Flaqo reveals, he used to live with his girlfriend and they used to go around school hawking clothes. The struggle was real! And after school, Flaqo claims that the girlfriend left him.

It was not easy for him as sometimes he even lacked transport money to go home.

”Pale campo me and my girlfriend tulikuwa tunauza nguo manzee. We literally used to hawk  clothes. We used to get money bana. My mum alikuwa analenga kunitumia pocket money… Unaenda una buy nguo flani supuu ya 30 bob unaenda unauza 400. Na hakuna kunegotiate.

But sasa ubaya vile nilimaliza chuo aliniacha. By the way mimi na uyo dem tuli struggle. Alafu nilimpenda. Hiyo stuff mimi iliniuma because I dated that chile for like over 3 years…”

In the same interview, Flaqo also says that most people have a wrong perception about him; thinking he’s gay. He has made it clear that he is straight and the character he plays as ‘Akoth’ is purely for entertainment.

His hawking story is inspirational as he’s now one of the most successful young comedians in the country.
