“She chose her life let her be!” Akothee’s sister fires back at Tecra’s trolls

Love knows not age, nor status or wealth and neither what society feels about it. Love knows no boundaries!

These are facts the world is clearly yet to come to terms with. You don’t need to look far, it starts at home – in Kenya.

News currently making headlines are Keroche Breweries CEO and Chairman, Tabitha and Joseph Karanja’s young daughter’s untimely demise.

There are so many angles to the story that is currently under investigations but what has been highlighted most is the kind of man a dear Tecra chose to love.

For many, the man is too old, quite unkempt, struggling to make ends meet and one whose background and beliefs have left Kenyans jittery.

Well, Akothee’s sister, Cebbie Nyasego decided to give her piece of mind regards the same.

Up on social media, Ms Nyasego noted:

A debate is raging about how she, of a high social class went out with a man who many people have labelled a beach boy ( Sharobaro). In Nairobi, he would be called a chokoraa.Others have wondered how a young woman went out with a much unkempt older guy.

For Cebbie, nothing about Tecra’s relationship seemed unusual especially in the current age and time.

I will tell you, it is not unusual for a woman of privilege to date a man considered to be much inferior.Neither is it unique for a young woman to go out with an octogenarian.

Demanding that people especially Kenyans give the young lady a break!

What I’m am I Implying? That we should respect people’s choiced and the contradiction it comes with.

For Cebbie, worse love stories have been told but who really is to judge? There is no logic when it comes to love and neither is there a manual to it.

Admittedly,the late Tecra’s is not even the most compelling love story.There are many more; love has taught us and shown us so many contradictions : sought to defy logic.

Adding:

I HONESTLY DON’T KNOW HOW TO WRITE SOMEONE ELSE’S LOVE HISTORY.I only know what keeps me glued in someone. Stop It!

To drive her point home, Ms Nyasego asked masses to let love be and not even attempt to understand it nor judge any human engrossed in love.

Basically because: We are all tickled differently.

In the final analysis, let’s stop trying to understand the contradictions of love and emotions . It is blind to age,looks, state of grooming or social status and all forms of statuses. It is enough that we learn about at this time.

Urging that we let Tecra’s soul rest peacefully and graciously because only she understood love from her own perspective.

Tecra Muigai was still very young.She didn’t deserve to die.My condolences to the family and loved ones.May her soul rest in peace, may they find strength.
