Mungu amuongezee! Akothee gives to charity Kshs 50,000 awarded to her by Dr Ezekiel Mutua

Female singer, Akothee and Nairobi Senator, Johnson Sakaja are set to bag Kshs 50,000 each for their viral messages to Kenyans in regards to COVID-19 pandemic.

The last thing we need as a country is to down our tools against the fight against Coronavirus and anyone who keeps reminding locals on safety and precautionary measures during this time, is an advocate in their own way.

Well, Madam Boss Akothee’s and Senator Sakaja’s inspirational messages have caught the attention of moral cop, Dr Ezekiel Mutua who commended the two for a job well done.

The KFCB boss acknowledged the drive behind the two COVID-19 ambassadors and decided to duly award them.

Monday, the 27th of April, he tweeted:

Nairobi Senator Johnson Sakaja & sons are the winners of the most creative piece of art in raising awareness on COVID-19. Esther Akoth alias Akothee takes the trophy for the most improved artist in Kenya. Her online messages and content of late are very inspiring. 50k for both!

Despite having previously blasted the singer for her dirty music content, the moral ethic chief-whip noted that her recent online messages and content were quite inspiring.

Responding to the golden offer put on the table, the businesswoman expressed deep gratitude before explaining what she plans to do with the money.

First and foremost, thank you very much for acknowledging my Talent???? this means alot to me ????????

Admitting she was really in dire need of the money and was glad her prayers had been answered.

Secondly ,thank you very much for the 50,000 ksh
I realy needed it at this particular time ????????????????

However, the money was not going into her pockets, rather, she revealed she was going to distribute it among ladies who work in night clubs and have currently been rendered jobless.

Akothee stated that these ladies had sought her aid during these trying times and it was time to answer to their call.

I will send it straight to those ladies who worked in night clubs and can’t get anything to feed their children , most of them emailed me at their point of dead Ends .
